What to Expect at Station K9
We understand that grooming can be a new or stressful experience for some dogs. That's why we've designed our grooming process to be calm, personalized, and focused on your dog's comfort every step of the way.
Before Your Appointment
Once your appointment is scheduled, you'll receive any necessary information regarding your visit. Please ensure your dog arrives on a leash or safely secured in a carrier.
If your dog has any medical conditions, mobility concerns, behavioral sensitivities, or previous grooming experiences you'd like me to know about, please share them before or at drop-off so I can tailor the appointment to their needs.
Drop-Off
At drop-off, we'll discuss your grooming goals, desired haircut, and any concerns you may have. This is the perfect time to let me know about any changes in your dog's health, behavior, or coat condition since their last visit.
One-on-One Grooming
Unlike high-volume salons, your dog receives individualized attention throughout their appointment. I focus on quality over quantity, allowing me to work at your dog's pace while creating a positive grooming experience.
Most appointments are completed start-to-finish by me, ensuring consistency and personalized care every step of the way.
Comfort Comes First
As a Fear Free Certified groomer, I prioritize your dog's emotional well-being alongside their physical care. Breaks are provided as needed, and every effort is made to minimize stress and create a positive experience.
While I always strive to achieve the desired groom, your dog's safety and comfort will always come before aesthetics.
Pick-Up
Once your dog's appointment is complete, you'll be contacted for pick-up. Prompt pick-up is appreciated to help maintain a smooth schedule for all clients.
Your pup will head home clean, comfortable, and looking their very best.
Salon Policies
Appointment & Cancellation Policy
Appointment times are reserved specifically for your dog.
A minimum of 24 hours' notice is appreciated for cancellations or rescheduling requests. Late cancellations and missed appointments prevent other clients from utilizing that appointment time.
No-shows and cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee.
Repeated no-shows or last-minute cancellations may require a deposit to book future appointments.
Late Arrival Policy
If you arrive late to your appointment, grooming services may need to be modified to fit within the remaining appointment time.
Arrivals more than 15 minutes late may be considered a missed appointment and may require rescheduling.
Matting Policy
Matting can be painful and can cause skin irritation, bruising, restricted movement, and other health concerns.
When a dog's coat is severely matted, the safest and most humane option may be to shave underneath the matting rather than attempt to brush it out. Dematting can be stressful, painful, and may cause injury to your dog.
By scheduling a grooming appointment, you acknowledge that heavily matted coats may require a shorter haircut than originally requested.
Additional fees may apply for excessive matting due to the additional time, equipment wear, and care required.
Senior & Special Needs Pets
Senior dogs and pets with medical conditions are always welcome. However, grooming can be physically demanding, and some services may need to be adjusted based on your dog's health, mobility, or tolerance level.
Your dog's safety and well-being will always be my top priority.
Fleas & Parasites
If fleas or other parasites are discovered during the grooming appointment, additional treatment fees may apply. This helps protect other pets, equipment, and the salon environment.
Aggressive or Unsafe Behavior
The safety of your dog and myself is extremely important.
If a dog displays behavior that creates a safety concern, grooming services may be modified, discontinued, or rescheduled as needed. Every effort will be made to complete services safely and compassionately.
Payment
Payment is due at the time services are completed.
Accepted payment methods will be discussed prior to your appointment.
Satisfaction Guarantee
Your satisfaction is important to me, and I want both you and your pup to leave happy with the grooming experience.
If you are not completely satisfied with your dog's groom, please contact me within 48 hours of your appointment. I will gladly discuss your concerns and, when appropriate, make reasonable adjustments to the groom at no additional charge.
Please note that grooming results may be limited by factors such as coat condition, matting, your dog's behavior and tolerance for grooming, or health-related concerns. In these situations, your dog's comfort and safety will always take priority.
